Inside the Myrtle x Nabs: Mat to Matcha event, community focused outdoor events that joins yoga, matcha and relaxation under the sun.

Wellness is best shared with friends because community is self-care!
My friend and I hosted a mat to matcha event, a space for us to share in our experience of taking care of ourselves, together!
We wanted everyone to feel special as they attended this event, so we constructed gift boxes, made fruit bowls, and offered a variety of matcha drink flavors for a personalized pick.
It was the perfect early morning start to our day!
We started with 500ml of water, which is 1/4 of our daily water intake (a very intentional choice ). Then we served ginger shots and protein bars to give the energy for our yoga!
Mat
We moved to the mat, where our instructor ( Ms Takywiaah ) took us through a 20-minute morning yoga flow. It was so serene with the lake in our viewpoint and the soundscape noises. You couldn’t be more relaxed than that.
Although we did keep dreading the dog stretch ( which gave us a very good laugh ), we pushed through, ending with a deep breath, and moved to matcha.
Matcha
It’s time for the matcha ceremony! There is something satisfying about watching matcha being made, so the ceremony was comforting! We made three flavors of matcha to give a variety. They were easy and quick to make,everyone enjoyed them and found them very refreshing.
This is the perfect summer entertaining event, a way to share wellness with your community! The sun is out ( outdoor events are in) ,it’s simple, and what matters is the connection being made. The laughs, and the togetherness; that’s what stood out the most and matters the most!
This is a great activity to organise with the community of your own as a bondig experience or even for a special event.
