Bone Broth

It’s no secret now that bone broth is a gut-health secret weapon, but drinking it raw isn’t the only way to gain its amazing benefits. In this post, one of the most real trends, ‘girl dinner,’ is combined with wellness in this gut-friendly bone broth soup. I grew up with pepper soup as a classic West African dish, and this is my delicious spin on it using bone broth.

The Bone Broth Hype

The bone broth hype didn’t come from no where, it carries various wellness credentials. With many testimonials around the world, bone broth either sipped alone or as bone broth soup is now a big part of the conversation on a healthier gut.

It is definitely worth adding to your personal menu.

Bone broth comes with lots of wellness benefits, from skin health to your nervous system and so much more . It also serves as a great source for collagen ( Skin Glow Gold) and gelatin which supports hormonal health.

Where To Find Good Bone Broth and What to Look For

Bone broth can be store bought in some regions of the world. However in those which can’t easily access them in their local supermarkets, the good news is that bone broth is one of the most accessible wellness meals!

As the name suggest bone broth comes from ‘bones’ but not just any bones. Some rich in protein bones are better for creating nutrient filled broth.

If you are looking for options that are easy to access and very well suited for bone broth, here is what to look for

  • Cow Leg ( with some meat still around the bone)
  • Cow bone marrow
  • Goat meat with bone

Once you’ve sourced the bones, you can simply boil them in water for about 2-3 hours to extract the broth. For an extra boost, you can consider adding two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar or lime juice( optional but very beneficial).
